Find a quiet place, close your eyes, plug in your headphones, and listen to each of the 12 notes (frequencies) in this four minute sound file. Be present with yourself and identify which note puts you in a state of greater peace and relaxation. Don't overthink it. Which note do you like the best? That's your note.
Your note will be one of the following: A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, or G#. All of your NeuroTōnz brainwave entrainment soundtracks will include that note playing low and steady in the background to help take you out of any chronic fight or flight stress state and into the relaxed parasympathetic state where we're meant to spend most of our time. In addition, all of your precise brainwave entrainment frequencies (alpha, theta, delta, gamma) will be further customized to be octaves of your note.
On the product purchase page for each of our brainwave entrainment soundtracks, you'll have the option to select the standard soundtrack with no customized note, or you can select a custom soundtrack in your custom note. Your choice.

It is certainly not a requirement to include your custom frequency in order for brainwave entrainment to work. Your brainwaves will become entrained to the target states (alpha, theta, delta, gamma) regardless of whether or not you incorporate your Custom Frequency.
